Description

Dado Laser welding workshop

During the workshop, our experienced instructors will cover a range of topics, including laser welding basics.

You will have a chance to work hands-on with the equipment and receive personalised instruction and guidance from our experts.

You will be guided through the different output settings for various methods to assist in the manufacturing and repair of jewellery where soldering may not be an option. You will have the opportunity to practice repairing jewellery in silver, gold and platinum, working around stones, porosity repair and more.

In addition, we are delighted that Freeform Fabrication is supporting this workshop and supplying the DaDo and larger laser welding machines for this workshop, so you will also be able to experience and practice on the DaDo!The DaDo laser welder complements the traditional methods in the workshop and in many cases has many advantages, primarily its small size and small price making it an attractive alternative.

You’ll work hands on with the machine experimenting and exploring different applications and materials. Please bring along some projects to try out such as re-tipping, ring sizing, jump & bolt ring securing, porosity repair, working around stones, chain repair or watch repairs. Bring along items in the style you like to work in and the materials you use every day to see what a laser welder can do for you. PRICE: £25 / per person
